Thanks for supporting us this year and Justice Week last week!! We hope and pray that you will do amazing during finals in the next two weeks!! But before you do, please remember that the leadership applications are due tomorrow night at midnight. All positions are available to apply for: President, Secretary, Treasurer, Publicity & Fundraising Coordinator, Awareness & Outreach Coordinators, Prayer Coordinator!! Look out for another announcement/post about the new leaders team soon!

First and foremost, thanks to everyone who has attended our events the past few days! Your attendance and involvement is much appreciated!!

But we still have two more events……

We have three hours until the start of Stand for Freedom, starting at 2pm on the HUC Concourse.

Starting then, we will be standing for the next 27 hours, representing the 27 million people currently enslaved around the world. Also we will also have food, music, and other events happening all throughout this time period. For those who have signed up to stand and have completed at least one of their shifts, you all will receive an amazing Justice Week shirt from our chapter!!

So if you would still like to stand, here is the new form for sign-up OR you can sign-up at the Registration table on the Concourse starting at 2pm. Also if you can’t stand but would still like to get involved with our campaign, please please donate HERE!!

Hello everyone!

We are halfway through Justice Week and we have received amazing turnouts at all of our events so far this week! But we still have three more amazing events left, starting tonight with IJM representative Libby Swenson speaking to us at 7pm in Heritage Hall Room 102.

Also there is still time to sign-up for shifts for Stand For Freedom. If you wonder what times still need to be filled, here are the times:

Thursday: 2-3PM, 3-4PM, 4-5PM
Friday: 1-2AM, 2-3AM, 6AM-7AM, 7AM-8AM, 8AM-9AM, 9AM-10AM, 12PM-1PM, 1PM-2PM, 2PM until 5PM

You can help us by signing up for at least one hour. You can sign-up by going to the Stand For Freedom page. They do not have to be consecutive!!! Also those who Stand for Freedom will receive one of our amazing Justice Week shirts as a thank-you!!

Also, if you can’t stand with us, you can still donate to our campaign on Our goal is $1000!! Help us reach it!
Then Friday night, we will be having our wrap up night, our Freedom Friday concert in the Mini-Park at 7pm, featuring the Generation Band, James Drake, Director of BHAMCRU, and a candlelight vigil!!


Tomorrow is the Day!!!


Tomorrow is the day we and everyone else have been waiting for!! 

Make sure to stop by the lower level of the Blazer RLC to experience our massage parlor visual tomorrow from 11am-2pm!!! Tomorrow night, we will be holding our Freedom Frisbee tournament from 7-9pm on the Campus Green! You still have time to register by tomorrow at noon.

The deadline to sign up for shifts for Stand For Freedom has been extended to this Wednesday, the 17th at noon. Go to the Stand For Freedom page for the link!!

Along with Justice Week, we are raising money for International Justice Mission! Our goal is $1000, and we’d love to meet that goal. To donate, here is the link:–UAB-is-Standing-for-Freedom/. So donate as much as you can, any donation is much appreciated.

Today starts the Prep Week for Justice Week.

Starting at 11 today until 3pm, we will be having our first Tabling Event in front of Barnes and Noble, promoting Justice Week and Stand For Freedom. If you would like to sign-up for either Stand For Freedom or the Freedom Frisbee Tournament, you can do so at our table!!! If you can’t make it today, we will be having a second Tabling event at 12pm-2pm TOMORROW  on HUC Concourse A.

If you are creative or like painting, come out to our Justice Week workdays starting tomorrow afternoon at 3pm-5pm and Friday from 1-5pm in HUC 410, the Workroom!!
